Kurt Andersen's most recent non-fiction books are Evil Geniuses and Fantasyland. He's the author of five novels—Turn of the Century, Heyday, True Believers, You Can't Spell America Without Me, and the forthcoming The Breakup. He writes for the theater and television as well, most recently Command Z, a streaming series created with Steven Soderbergh. He also contributes regularly to The Atlantic and New York Times. Previously, he was host and co-creator of Studio 360, the Peabody Award-winning public radio show and podcast. In addition, he co-founded online publications, co-created a cable TV channel, was a culture writer and critic for the New Yorker and Time, served as editor-in-chief and a columnist at New York, and co-founded Spy magazine. He graduated from Harvard College, received honorary doctorates from the Rhode Island School of Design and Pratt Institute, and has taught at the School of Visual Arts. He lives with his wife Anne Kreamer in New York City.
