Jonathan Lethem is the author thirteen novels, including Chronic City, The Fortress of Solitude (2009), and Brooklyn Crime Novel (2023). His fifth, Motherless Brooklyn (1999), won the National Book Critic's Circle Award. His short stories and essays have been collected in seven volumes, including the forthcoming A Different Kind of Tension: New and Selected Stories. He is a recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship, a World Fantasy Award, and The Rome Prize. He is currently the Roy E. Disney '51 Professor of Creative Writing at Pomona College.
